Rare June-like day on the Pennsylvania Turnpike scene
A quirky roadside column from Reading, Pennsylvania, recalls a traffic cop song and dance on a busy turnpike. The writer notes a second officer struggling with a jacket, a fast-leading patrol car forming an impressive line, and amusing roadside scenes including hex signs, Amish buggies, and a modern supermarket lot with horse drawn arrivals. The piece ends with a tease of a Cherokee National Forest column to come.
