Two Killed In Auto Crash Saturday Night

Frank Herschman and his son from Garner were killed in an auto accident northeast of Graettinger Saturday evening. Another son was badly injured and recovering at Coleman hospital in Estherville. The Herschman Buick sedan wrecked after veering into a ditch and rolling over several times on the Imperial Highway near Gruver as they headed from Eastherville to Garner. The reduced buying power hits the midwest and east, with workmen laid off in large cities. Henry Ford reportedly laid off 4,000 at the Minneapolis plant. Grachtenberger sportsmen visited Kossuth county to chase pheasants during a three day open season, while outside hitters took advantage of the same.
