A large crowd in Graettinger Friday evening left disappointed as Antonie Johnson, billed as the strong man, did not appear. Miscommunication with R. R. Allison of Estherville over the match led Johnson to miss the Graettinger engagement, believing he was to perform elsewhere in Estherville and later learning of the Graettinger date. He diverted to meet Mr. Reeves in Spencer after a telephone tip, then returned due to a broken spring delaying travel. The winner were to take all in the Johnson Reeves bout. A future Graettinger appearance is hoped.
