Distribution plan for Clinton seed oats to Palo Alto County
The 1946 Clinton seed oats, limited to 20 24 thousand bushels statewide, are allocated by county acreage with Palo Alto receiving a small share. Applications go to the County Seed Distribution committee, with eleven growers chosen from Farm Bureau lists. Participants must sign agreements to grow for certification and sell at least half or all surplus oats at a price not exceeding $1 above Des Moines market.
