Graettinger FHA Girls Host District Meeting
The Graettinger FHA chapter welcomed about 300 girls from eleven chapters for a district meeting all day Saturday. Registration ran 8:30 to 9:00 with mixers from Ruthven and Armstrong. Carlol Prather, Graettinger district president, led the program starting at 9 a.m. The opening ritual featured flags presented by Spencer. Supt. Paul Stuart gave the welcome, Rolfe led roll call, Ayrshire staged a skit, the Klinger twins of Estherville performed music, and Armstrong supplied relaxers.

Soil Testing Method To Be Discussed At Special Meeting
A special meeting is set for next Monday evening October 7 from 8 to 10 at the vocational agriculture classroom of the community school. The aim is to explain Iowa State University’s new soil analysis method, with Palo Alto County likely to adopt in early October. Bulletins, worksheets, test-result analysis, carry over adjustments, new soil containers, and field records will be provided. Farmer self analysis and fertilizer planning will be emphasized.
