Miss Clara Suss assisted at the post office this past week. Mr and Mrs Bb 8 George hosted a six o clock dinner Friday. Highland Plaid mugs promoted. Burkhead Co advertised many colors. Miss Alice Conway clerks at Christiansen Variety. Miss Elizabeth Spies hosted Embroidery Club with Mrs Burleigh of St Louis visiting Spies home.
The Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors met November 10 1972 in Emmetsburg Iowa. Members present were McConnell Bagman Fogarty Joyce and Ricklefs with Ricklefs presiding. A motion authorized warrants for general election expenses and the Auditor was instructed to draw on the General County Fund. Minutes were approved for prior meetings and a resolution to settle the Elizabeth Schuller case for 2200 dollars was discussed and moved for approval.
The board adjourned to canvass General Election returns from November 4. Officials listed include Eisenhower Nixon Stevenson and several state and county offices. Reynolds, Loveless, Akers, Spurgeon, Dolliver, Gare, and Thompson appear among names with vote totals. motion to declare winners carried. adjournment to November 17, 1952.
