Emmetsburg citizens learned with painful surprise of Mrs Francis Jackman death at her northwest of town home Thursday. She died after childbirth. Funeral Saturday morn at St Thomas Church with a requiem high mass. Burial in St Johns Cemetery. She was 36, born Eva Murphy July 22 1894. Survived by husband Francis six children Jean Robert Mary Margaret John Richard. Parents Dante and Mrs Murphy four brothers Eugene Earl Maurice Francis. Graettinger Boys Win Opener at Curlew in Low Scoring Contest
Graettinger high school opened its season with a 17 to 7 victory over Curlew in a boys game.
