John Fox, sixty, a laborer at the Great Northern shops in St Paul, was burned to death in bed at his boarding house. Fellow boarder John Kalgren and chambermaid Mrs Bray rushed to the room and dragged him from the burning bed, but the flames had already killed him. Fox appeared to have been smoking in bed and the sparks may have ignited bedding.
Clarence Kilchii, seventeen, son of Joseph Kilich, and friend John Conrerdy of Chicago, drowned while hunting on Pelican Lake in Wright County. The exact cause unknown. residents heard two shots and found the overturned boat. The tragedy followed distress after a failed romance and a personal debt incident.
Dr T B V Appleby of Panthas has been paid 176000 dollars in settlement against the estate of his late wife Cornelia Day Wilder Appleby. The final settlement was signed in the law offices of Kellogg Severance for the trustees and Wilder charity, with M D Munn representing Appleby. The court approved and objections period expired with no challenge. Payment was made in gold coin from First National Bank of St Paul, then the final papers were signed closing the dispute.

A twelve year old girl, daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard Geary of Hibting, was shot and killed during an amateur comedy rehearsal. Russell Barrett aged twelve, played the hero in the performance and fired a loaded gun at the girl while reciting lines. The tragedy occurred at the Barrett home, the boy's father being W. C. Barrett.
