Alfred Petersen Dies From Auto Crash Near Britt
Alfred Petersen 22 of Cedar Falls died Friday morning at Mercy hospital Mason City from injuries from a Highway 18 crash near Britt Thursday evening. He rode with Cedar Falls partner Thure Stark. LeRoy Zuel of Britt drove the car that struck them. Petersen’s skull fractured and legs broken. Stark, Larry O’Herm and Richard Hanson injured. Funeral at Cedar Falls, interment at Danish Lutheran near Graettinger. Petersen, born May 15 1900, married Anna Hermansen in 1922, survived by wife, mother, brother Herlof, sister Bertha. grandmother died day of funeral. The Graettinger community mourns.
