Mrs Knute Iverson died Saturday at 6 15 am after a long diabetes illness. Born July 26 1856 at Mister Sogn near Stavanger Norway she came to the United States at age eighteen and settled in Illinois where she married Knute Iverson in Ogle County.
A wedding union in Iowa produced ten children six boys and four girls from WF Ceere and Paulo Alto county. One daughter died at two. Surviving children include Mrs. M. Johnson Peter Edward Julia Linnie Clarence Charles Henry and Elmor. Funeral yesterday at their Lost Island home and then Lost Island Lutheran church with interment in the church cemetery. Reverend Sande preached a Christian farewell. The widow was praised as a steadfast Christian and devoted wife and mother. She leaves a husband three grandchildren and two sisters.

Pra Edward Aylward, a fireman at Wheat Brick and Tile Factory, was crossing the Rock Island tracks near Emmetsburg when struck by a bound passenger train Sunday morning. He sustained severe injuries including crushed elbow, hip injury, back sprain, facial gashes, and a bruised nose.
