A garbled church notice lists weekly services on Sundays and holidays. Pastor Q Kroen leads with morning worship at 10 00 a m and additional gatherings throughout June and May. Readers are asked to report changes or irregularities to the paper.
The president proclaims August 8 as opening date for Rosebud lands. Entries will be at Bonesteel then Chamberlain from August 8 to September 10, with registrations at Chamberlain Bonesteel Yankton and Fairfax starting July 6 and closing July 28. A three-person committee will conduct the July 28 drawing in Chamberlain with $4 per acre initial price and selection by drawing.
The teachers meeting in Emmetsburg will start at 9 30 a m with music and talks on reading and supplementary reading in grades 2 3 and 4 plus sessions on language geography nature study and drawing. Speakers include Luella Johnson Anna Grady Florence Cowan Ibel Randall Dorothy Fluke Edna Oliver and Jennie Kelly outlining key teaching topics and methods.
In a brief note, J. P. Mahan and MM. Avery advertise space in the big pasture south of town for extra cattle and horses. Rates listed as 8.60 for cattle and 4.60 for horses, with Mahan responsible for placement.
