The Graettinger grammar and primary grades staged a large audience program last Friday night in The Hawkeye. performers presented songs, recitations, a Teddy Bear drill, three bears, the town musicians, and a Topsy Turvy drill. Teachers earned praise for guiding the show as students and a dialogue from Mark Twain’s Interviewer featured.

Speck Recovers After Frog Skin Graft Operation
W. A. Speck of Ames underwent a Des Moines surgery a year ago to remove a five pound tumor between his shoulders. Frog skins were grafted over the large wound, aided by the amphiibian epidermis now carrying human blood and healing well at home.

Tornadoes Strike Nebraska Towns Killing Eight
