The report lists graduates including Hans Appel Henry Appel Robert Barringer Frances Christensen Ruth Frick Rosella Haag Ronald Herum Beverly Jones Delores Rathman Lois Kerr Duane Law Ada Lewis Wayne Masters Delores Paulsen Doris Sanding Francis Schealler Shirley Sipes Harold Strain Margaret Theil Lawrence Thomsen Marian Tonderum Ruth Wikert Doris Webbe Samuel Young. Also notes a week of cool rainy weather and delayed corn planting. Francis McCarty bought a Pomeroy store larger than his Graettinger grocery. Graettinger residents supported the Lucky Seventh bond drive, reaching its one day quota of just over 25000 dollars. The update covers local veterans on leave and departures, including Allen Birkland from Samoa and Ernie Andresen from the U S Navy, plus staff changes and furloughs in Graettinger schools.
