Norse American Gathering Set for Major 1925 Expo
The Norse American Centennial celebration and exposition will run June 6 to 9 at Minnesota State Fairgrounds between St Paul and Minneapolis. An estimated 250,000 to 600,000 are expected, with 30,000 to 60,000 Norse Canadians from Canada likely attending. Special trains, auto caravans, and rail rates are planned. President Coolidge and governors from several states are slated to speak, with religious services, concerts, and a large exhibit of Norse heritage. The event features Bygdelags, a living flag, a historic pageant, and commemorative stamps and medals issued by the U S government, plus possible Los Angeles dirigible and 50 airplanes.

Circus Man Found Dead Near Estherville Bridge
A circus porter identified as Jack Ryan, about 26, was found dead under the M. and St. L. bridge in Estherville after a fatal blow to the head. Authorities could not locate his relatives. Early reports blamed foul play, but later papers suggest he may have stepped off the train during a Rock Island crossing, with a forty foot drop at the stop being the plausible cause.

Clinton Reunitz Dies at State Hospital Iowa City
Clinton Reunitz died Saturday morning at State University hospital in Iowa City after a period of illness. Born November 18, 1900 near Terrill, he was the son of Mr and Mrs Wm Reunitz and died May 9 1926 at age 24 years 5 months 21 days. He underwent a tonsil operation the previous year which was followed by a decline leading to his death. Terrill Tribune reports the loss.

Leon Man Killed In Auto Crash Near Emmetsburg
Arthur Hale of Leon Iowa died after an auto accident near the McAllister home in Emmetsburg. Hale and five Plover companions traveled to Emmetsburg early Sunday, Hale drove west, the car overturned pinning him. He suffered a broken leg and severe injuries. two hours passed before aid reached him and infection led to gas gangrene.
