A miscellaneous shower celebrated Suzanne Frick on April 26 with a 10 o clock brunch at the Harold Shugart home. Hostesses were Dorothy Dunge Mrs Don Walters and Mrs Harold Shugart. Pink and white decor featured baby's breath and daisies while pink and white geraniums decorated tables and were given to the bride. Guests included many Estherville residents and friends from Graettinger and Fairmont.

Senior Citizens Party Honors 80 Years Plus Attendence 90
A Saturday May 10 program at the Senior Citizens Center honored residents aged 80 and older. Corsages were pinned on 29 seniors by volunteers and a brief program featured welcomes readings songs and old time costumes. The three oldest attendees 88 each received fruit baskets. About 90 people attended and the group thanked attendees for a lovely day. Excessive drinking often stems from lack of interest in hobbies or home projects.
