Students Win Honors In Local Track And Golf Meets
Steve Moran earns dual golf meet medalist honors with Ringsted and runner up at the Emmetsburg sectional. He advances to the district golf meet at Eagle Grove on May 15. Betty Brown places second in the Pocahontas girls district shot put and heads to the Girls State Track meet May 14. Joe Craven takes second in the half mile and anchors a 2 mile relay winning team at Milford district, advancing to the Boys State Track meet May 15 at Pocahontas. Three special school nights set: Senior Class Night and Awards Night May 20 at 8.00 pm with an evening program to aid parent attendance. Baccalaureate May 23 at 8.00 pm with Father Beacom delivering the sermon and benediction. Commencement May 24 at 8.00 pm with Rev Otto Reitz giving invocation and benediction.
