Sunday School Convention At Methodist Church Delegates Attend
The district Sunday School convention met last Sunday in the Methodist church with delegates from Osgood Sunday School including Mr. and Mrs. Dickinson Mr. and Mrs. Hulett and Mesdames Jackson Olds McConnell and Brefie Mrs Virginia Underwood of Himmetsburg secretary of the county organization and Mrs Chris Bhroeder of Emmetsburg attended The program impressed delegates with up to date methods and graded teaching The afternoon featured papers on junior and adult classes plus a solo by Mrs Kuhn Election of officers for the coming year followed. Also a school inspection tour by the local board visited Marathon Pocahontas and Emmetsburg to study consolidated school plans and potential building needs. An infantile paralysis scare linked to sick chickens near Granville drew health officials’ attention.
