History of Our Saviours Lutheran Church Lost Island
The Lost Island Norwegian Danish Evangelical Lutheran congregation began May 10, 1872, under Rev. Dahl, with founders and early members listed. After multiple pastors, a parsonage, and ground purchases, the church burned in 1934 and a new building was dedicated that December under Rev. Mandsager.

Resignations and interim pastors mark long service period
Rev. Mandsnger resigned in July 1941 and the Ruthven pastor Rev. Wicks served as temporary pastor for nearly a year. Rev. J. F. Master was installed May 3 1942 and led the congregation until October 27 1946. The current minister is Rev. J. B. Knutson of Ruthven.

History of Lost Island Ladies Aide
The Lost Island Ladies Aide society began May 10 1889 under Pastor L J Hauge to aid church building. Members sewn at home later, meetings in Norwegian, early dues ten cents, officers limited to one year, first bazaar held at Andrew Hermanson home. Now meets second Thursday monthly with expanded officers and three circles aiding ongoing charity through generations.

History of the Home Mission Society
The Norwegian Home Mission Society began June 21 1929 with Hans Sandvik as president and Holte as vice president O L Thoreson secretary and Andrew Lande treasurer. It aimed to aid the needy with quilts clothing and donations distributed locally. Sandvik led until 1936 when Q L Thoreson became president with Charles Lande as vice president and Carl Christensen as secretary.
