Farm Bureau Women’s News Meeting Plans 1953 54

The Farm Bureau women’s county committee met at the Extension Office on April 28 to continue plans for the 1953-54 program. Reports from the special chairman were given. The health committee will cooperate in stamping out Brucellosis and study mental health. Mrs Twigg led, Pennies for Friendship and international affairs were discussed, and aging spring conference notes were shared. Committee results favored topics like home sewing, holiday decoration, ceramics, knitting, home beautification, and more. Mrs McFadyen spoke of crafts from a Minnesota camp and Rural Women’s Day was debated. Next meeting is July 20 with many attendees listed. Hobby note: at Cimrinda, Mrs Harmon collects dolls, china, and glass dating back ninety years.
