Burial for Orland Paulson in Wallingford on March 23
Burial services were held Friday for Orland Bufford Paulson 34 of rural Graettinger after he was killed March 20 when a tree limb fell on him while trimming on the Loren Anderson farm near Wallingford. He was born February 17 1939 in Wallingford and married Darlene Juhl September 7 1968. He farmed in the area, was active in church work and survived by his wife a son and his mother. Burial was at Wallingford Cemetery with a Wallingford Lutheran service conducted by Pastor Wesley Brodin. Pallbearers included Ronnie Fay Richard Jacobson Don Miller Darwin Olson Harley Olson Robert Ressell. Additional helpers omitted from last week’s listing.

McGarry dies at Pocahontas at 63
Lawrence McGarry, 63, died February 23 at Pocahontas. Services were held at Sacred Heart Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Survived by widow Mildred, son Merlyn of Los Gatos California, daughters Arlen Carlson Alta Darrell Hotovec and Ronald Osweiler Pocahontas, 13 grandchildren, brothers James Apache Junction Arizona John Lake City, sisters Mrs. Earl Mudge Storm Lake Mrs Ha Esterbrook Albert City Mrs Louis Demers Storm Lake. Born Rembrandt, raised there, married Mildred Edwards in 1933 at Spencer. They farmed Emmetsburg Graettinger area for 18 years and near Truesdale before moving to current farm in 1962.
