City Council Proceedings March 2 1964 Grachtinger Iowa

City Hall in Grachtinger Iowa held its regular March meeting with Mayor Poland presiding. Present were Councilmen Hanson Olesen Peterson and Potter Absent Knudtson and Light Plant trustees and employees Lars Petersen Howard Suss Kenneth Jensen Myrtle Nissen. Minutes from February 3 and 14 were read and approved. A motion by Potter seconded by Peterson to deny the Board of Adjustments request to allow a mobile home court on Spies subdivision lots 10 and 11 outlet No 7 carried. Council discussed Light Plant trustees and employees at length.

Graettinger Town Council Moves Utilities Office

The Light Plant Board proposes relocating the secretary’s office to City Hall for combined meter reading billing and collections for all municipal utilities. Members hire Myrtle Nissen as secretary. duties include general secretarial work and deposits. Additional motions authorize recreation parlor permit renewal, storefront remodel, and bulk tanks for liquid fertilizer. Resolution adopts 1963 street financial report. Bills approved across funds. payments total 3291.03.
