Social Security Tax Clarified by Fort Dodge Official

In a Graettinger Times note, Clifford W. Swedlund, manager of the Fort Dodge Social Security office, explains the federal social security tax remains at one percent for both employee and employer. The Iowa old age and survivors insurance tax rose to two percent for each on January 1, causing confusion among employers and workers. The Times extends congratulations to the happy parents. Mrs. Vie Henningsen of Milwaukee was a Sunday visitor. The Henningsens have two boys and two girls. Mrs. M. O. Grodland and daughter plan to drive to Alexandria Minnesota to visit Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson and family.
