Mrs Thomas Burns 75 lifelong Emmetsburg resident died unexpectedly Friday at her southwest Emmetsburg home. She was born on the same farm where she passed. Daughter of Daniel and Margaret Murphy she married Thomas Burns November 24 1903 at Assumption Catholic Church Emmetsburg.
Mrs Burns obituary reports seven children with five living and lists surviving family including her husband and five children. Funeral services were at Assumption church with burial in St Johns Cemetery. Pallbearers named and many relatives and friends attended from Estherville Graettinger Sioux City and other towns. The deceased was a devout figure in Palo Alto county and known for devotion to family and community.
