Finney of the Force and the gold nugget misfire
Jaco Lowstuter of Charleral Pennsylvania found two nuggets in the gizzard of four chickens. The butcher sold the fowl saying they came from a nearby village with an 80 year old gold strike. Excitement of a gold rush faded when a jeweler assayed the nuggets as brass. The incident left the butcher lamenting after killing six chickens seeking more nuggets.
