Parsons College Girl's Basketball Camp Draws Near 100 Attendees
Nearly 100 high school girls attend the second week of Parsons College Girl's Basketball Camp from June 11 to 16. Barb Peterson arrives with her Graettinger family as a Graettinger High School student. County 4-H Beef Showmanship Demo Set for June 29
County 4-H beef project members are invited to a beer showmanship and fitting demonstration at the Robert Johnson farm near Ayrshire on Thursday June 29 starting at 3 30 pm. The event includes a beer judging workout and aims to aid junior beef exhibitors heading to the county fair on August 4 and to benefit 4-H livestock judging teams. Co sponsored by Kent Feed Company and Silver Lake township 4-H leaders refreshments provided.

Graettinger youth named State 4-H Historian
Norman Nicol, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Nicol, was elected State 4-H Historian among eight statewide leaders. A Graettinger High School graduate and nine year 4-H member, he will join the county delegation at the 4-H Citizenship Conference in Washington, D C on July 26.
