Mr and Mrs Thoresen Begin Three Month Trip Abroad
Mr and Mrs Carl Thoresen left by auto Wednesday of last week on an extended visit through the west. Their destination is Oregon with plans to spend three months on the way. They carry a camping outfit and will stop at inviting places, with time in St Paul and various points in the Dakotas. Local friends wish them a pleasant trip.

Kenneth Pierson Injured By Toy Gun Accident
Kenneth Pierson son of Mr and Mrs GC K Pierson sustained a painful hand injury Saturday when a toy cup gun discharged a cartridge he had placed in it. Graettinger defeated Ruthven 10 to 5 in the county league opener played Thursday afternoon in this city. Five runs in the first inning gave Graettinger the early lead, with only six hits for the team while Ruthven had one off Paulvents delivery.
