Tragic Car Crash Kills Albert Mouw Near Orange City
Albert Mouw twenty, son of a wealthy Orange City farmer, died after a motor car crash two miles north of Le Mars. John Vanderworf, a carpenter, is in critical condition at Le Mars hospital. John De Vries and John Van Gorp survived. The group had gone to Le Mars for repairs then sped home. a sharp turn near a farm yard caused the vehicle to overturn into a ditch, pinning Mouw and Vanderworf. Surviving men assisted in returning to Le Mars. Mouw died shortly after arrival. Mouw had joined the trip knowing car basics, despite his father’s warning against speeding.

Doctor OBrien Aids Tubercular Appendicitis Case
Dr OBrien of Ninmersburg visited Algona Monday to help operate on C A Pringle who had tubercular appendicitis. The case involved widespread intestinal tuberculosis and about a gallon of water in the abdomen. Doctors expect recovery and anticipate transferring two more patients to the hospital soon.

Brakeman Dies in Steam Scalding Incident
Tuesday of last week Eagle Grove freight brakeman Guy Reynolds of the C and N W was scalded to death aboard an engine when a steam plug blew, filling the car with hot steam. He escaped by a rear exit near the steam plume and died a few hours later. A local favorite, he was widely mourned in Eagle Grove and by the railroad crew.

Child Dies After Boiling Water Accident
Earl Joseph Gorman three and a half, son of Mr and Mrs Gorman, fell into a tub of hot water boiling from the stove on east main street Saturday evening. He died Sunday morning after intense suffering. The family, already bereaved once, has community sympathy. The body was taken to Fort Dodge for burial.

Auto flips near Dangman place injures two men
Last Sunday afternoon near the Dangman place west of town the M. Ludwig car turned turtle trapping occupants. Vern Waters suffered a broken rib while William Putteir sustained a broken left arm and fingers with a wrenched back and other cuts. Joe Ludowitz escaped with minor bruises. The car is badly damaged but expected to be back in use soon with a mechanic's help.

Fred Masters visited Milford to view a car burned on the roadside north of town after a Saturday night wreck. Six Spencer young ladies reportedly hired an auto to Spirit Lake. returning, they were thrown from the vehicle into an embankment, all escaped injury. The car burned later, leaving only iron and steel. The fire’s cause is uncertain, with careless handling suggested. The machine was valued at 1,800 dollars.

Engine runs away and wrecks at Rock Island round house
An engine on the Rock Island line quit working on Tuesday morning last week. It rolled onto the turntable, tipped into a pit and crashed, injuring no people but causing about $10,000 in losses. Several other engines remained stranded inside the round house as a result.

A young farmer returning to town after a farm wagon collision with an automobile on a Thursday evening near Fairmont reported to police that two or three men in an Iowa car assaulted him after blocking the road. Attacked by a Cow Near Livermore A Servant Girl Hurt

Auto turns upside down near Linn Grove
An auto accident on May 30 near Linn Grove saw two cars crash through a bridge railing and fall fifteen feet. Anton Christenson and Harvey Evans, in a runabout and a Ford touring car, locked wheels and plunged over the railing. Christenson was badly injured but survived. Evans escaped uninjured.
