Art Teacher Candidate Joins Local School Staff

Pool Lessons and Teen Nights Scheduled at Local Facility
Swimming ginners lessons run daily from 11 15 to noon with instructors yet to be assigned. Thursday is Teen night for ages 13 and up while adults are urged to participate. Friday night offers adult and family admission with children only with parents, open 7 to 9 30 p m. Mrs Russel Lastine returns as office supervisor.

4H Members Attend Area Camp at West Lake Okoboji
Sixty three Palo Alto county 4-Hers spent days at the 4-H Area Camp for 7th and 8th graders at West Lake Okoboji. Boys camped June 1 4 and girls June 4 7. Activities included outdoor recreation boating swimming and crafts with classes in outdoor cookery ecology and water safety. Peggy Nolan led music while Tim and Tom Brown Richard Myers and others from various 4-H groups attended. Counselors listed include Ron Kenyon Paul Kassel Garry Barkwe Nancy Needham and others.

Thomas J. Ennen graduated from Mankato State College in Commen cement ceremonies on Friday June 8. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the Mankato Minnesota school and is son of Mr and Mrs John Ennen of Graettinger. He was part of the college’s largest class, 1 220 students.
