She will visit Graettinger State Bank from 1:15 to 1:48 p.m. Ruthven Harold's Clover Farm Store 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. West Bend Iowa State Bank 3:15 to 4:00 p.m. Free ice cream will be served by the County Dairy Association at each stop.
Federal milk marketing orders set minimum prices dealers must pay farmers supplying bottling milk in a marketing area. They create orderly marketing conditions between dairy farmers and dealers to ensure a steady flow of fresh milk for consumers. Orders were authorized by a 1935 law and amended by the Agricultural Marketing Agreement Act of 1937.
Twenty three persons received certificates after completing a 24 hour Leadership Activity Directors Program final session on May 16. Presented by Iowa Lakes Community College, the course trains individuals to plan and run activity programs in nursing or custodial homes and to match activities to residents under state law requirements. Viola Henningsen of Graettinger enrolled in the program.
