Ed Rolfson, a well known Graettinger citizen, died of a heart attack after being seen at home at 4:30 pm. Funeral services were held at his home and Wallingford Lutheran church, with Rev. L. G. Hinderaker officiating. He is buried in Riverside Cemetery. Born August 27, 1874 in Jackson Minnesota, he was 69. Funeral arrangements were handled by Martin Funeral Service.

The Spies home hosted a joyful family gathering Sunday with most relatives in attendance. Carl Spies was absent due to Army duties in England. Attending were Mr and Mrs Carl Spies, Mrs Otto Spies and Loie, Keith and Frederick of Mayville North Dakota, Cpl Kurt Spies of Long Beach California, Lt Dick Spies of Lubbock Field Texas, and Mrs Carl Spies Jr of Algona. Lt Spies returned to duty yesterday and Cpl Kurt Spies will travel to the west coast soon. The Otto Spies family has returned to Mayville.

Homebound couple returns via Colorado and Nebraska
Mr and Mrs Chris Jensen arrived from Phoenix Arizona after wintering with their daughter. They traveled through Colorado and Nebraska on the way home and report a hearty winter stay in Phoenix with good meals. Twin boys were born to Mr and Mrs Doh of Des Moines today named David Lee and Donald Linn. The mother is Miss Ethel Leary, niece of Mrs C O Wikert of Graettinger. The Times offers congratulations. Sunday masses will be at 7:30 and 9:30 with Father Hurley on vacation. Saturday and Monday masses at 7:30.

Death of Four Year Old Roger Hansen Near Grover
Roger Leroy Hansen died Friday June 2 at Parkview Hospital Estherville from a ruptured appendix and complications. He was a patient a week.
