A curly headed baby about 24 hours old was left on the doorstep of George W. Waterman editor of the Fremont County Herald and Sidney postmaster Thursday. The infant was tucked in a basket and sleeping peacefully. Waterman, father of a grown family, has no clue how the baby arrived or who the parents are.
