Mrs McAllister Injured In Auto Crash South Of Graettinger
Mrs J R McAllister of Emmetsburg sustained a broken left wrist and bruises to her right arm and hip when the car she rode in crashed into a telephone pole after leaving a ditch south of Graettinger. The driver Leila McAllaster had minor injuries and a grandson was uninjured. Mrs McAllister was taken to Emmetsburg hospital and is resting at home nearby. The accident followed a strike on loose gravel that caused the vehicle to swerve while heading to Easterville to visit relatives. She previously broke a heel about a year ago from a fall down cellar steps and recovery may be slow due to age.

Three Injured In Collision On Return Home
Irvin Larson, Kenneth Edgreson, and Red Barringer were injured in a Sunday night collision while returning from Emmetsburg. They attempted to pass a car and struck a truck. Gravel Pit Popular With Local Bathers

A W Beebe a 74 year old Emmetsburg merchant died Sunday after weeks of illness. He moved to Kimmersburg in 1883 and worked with A Taub, later Kaufman Bros, then owned and ran the Kaufman store, sold to Kyatt Beebe in 1917, and three years ago became sole proprietor with his son Earle Beebe continuing the clothing house renowned in south Iowa for its steady trade.
