Auto Accidents Mar Week With Two Car Collisions
An evening crash on Times Highway near Clayton east of Osgood involved a Dodge driven by Dubuque resident Mr Hogan and a Ford driven by Estherville resident Howard Duhn. Sloinker boys were passengers. Hogan had a cracked rib. Duhn and Sloinker were stunned. Damage estimated around $40 to the Dodge. Ford heavily damaged. Eye witness W. T. McNally from Emmetsburg described a late sighting before impact. The drivers did not see each other until it was too late.

Drakes Car Tipped Over in Rain Near Huxley Iowa
In a Monday afternoon rainstorm near Huxley Iowa the W H Drake Ford coupe tipped onto its top with four wheels in the air. Mr and Mrs Drake and their daughter Maxine were inside but suffered no injuries or car damage. Traffic congestion and a near collision prompted Mr Drake to steer into a ditch, where the vehicle tipped on a slant but remained uninjured.

Graettinger Car Incident Near Cemetery Hill
The Estherville Democrat reports Albert Ballah of Graettinger two miles west backed off a twenty foot grade at the cemetery hill near Estherville. Phecu pinned him to a tree and locals freed him with a limb pry. An exam at Coleman hospital found only external injuries. Ballah was discharged the next day. He is a stranger to the reporter and to local residents.
