Successful Convention at the District Sunday School
The District held a Sunday School Convention at the Methodist church with reduced programs due to funeral services. Mesdames Soper and Underwood of Emmetsburg presented papers on General Sunday School Work and Graded Lessons, with discussions led by Reverend Howlett and Mrs Wheeler. Doctor George presided, old officers re-elected, and attendance was modest but spirited.

Norris and Nyborg Wedding at Ruthven Parsonage

The bride, daughter of C Nyborg, has lived in Lost Island and this city, worked as a dressmaker for five years, and is praised for grace and character. The groom, son of Mary Norris, is described as upright and industrious, with an exemplary conduct record and a fine home prepared for the couple. The remains of Mrs. Thomas Kelley arrived from Omaha for burial in High Lake cemetery after dying from anesthesia during a goiter operation. Minnie Harris, born December 11 1875, lived in Fort Dodge and Ti ll inis before settling in this locality. She leaves husband Thomas Kelley and a young daughter, plus her father two sisters and five brothers. Sympathies are offered to the family.

Death Claims Gabriel A Esperson in Maddron Massachusetts
Mrs. Amos Exinhour received word that her son Gabriel A. Esperson of Maddron died at home last Friday afternoon after a brief illness from acute Bright’s disease. He left a wife and young son. The Eisenhours lived on the M. H. Schloeman farm near Wallingford for about two years and had moved from Massachusetts three years ago. Sincere sympathy is extended to the mother and sisters.
