Visitors at the Bedford Times-Press office saw a three-pound Bonderosa lemon brought from Florida by John Van Qesen. The fruit was estimated to yield 12 lemon pies. The column also notes various local notes from conservation, a Tucker acquittal on mail fraud charges, and recent council expenditures and staff salaries.
A Tuesday sleet storm leaves sidewalks slick with ice, prompting drivers and pedestrians to take care on Hill streets while youth opt for safe coasting.
