The bride, daughter of J A Tow near Wallingford, has worked as a telephone operator for Graettinger Telephone Company and is praised for her steadiness and helpfulness. An obituary note from White Salmon Washington reports the death of Victor Jensvold son of Mr and Mrs M Jensvold orchardists in Mt Brook district He died after a sudden illness on Saturday Funeral services were held Monday at Mt Brook church Rev Abraham of White Salmon Congregational church officiating Interment was in the IOOF cemetery He had worked at Bank of California in Portland and was active in Portland musical circles He was born in Town in August 1895 He is survived by his parents two sisters Mrs Ray Newby and Alta and a brother Charles Jensvold of St Paul.

Graettinger Youth Joins U S Aviation Service
Johard Axelton has joined the aviation service and is in training at Waco Texas. He first went to Kelly Field then to the 17th squadron at Waco. Jahard is the 67th local boy serving with the U S colors and Graettinger friends will follow his military career with interest.

Lost Island Creamery Shows Strong Annual Business
The Lost Island Creamery held its annual meeting on January 7 reporting 70 000 in business for the year, a strong showing. A new modern building was occupied July 1 and officers say the creamery is among the finest in the region. In 1917 butterfat averaged 48 5 cents per pound. Henry Hansen was hired as buttermaker. he holds several prize medals. Directors elected: James Hansen president A C Christiansen secretary S P Duhn treasurer. other directors P Petersen and Jas Skow.
