J B Dunn of near Grandey Center asks for his auto license number 1860. He cites that year as his birth date and says he can recall dates but struggles with larger numbers. Dunn is 82 years old. Patrick Drew of Decorah endured eight years of hiccoughs that culminated in his death.

A hearing before the Board of Supervisors will be held February 16, 1942 at 10:00 a.m. at Emmetsburg Court House to consider the proposed assessments and objections must be in writing by noon that day or objections are waived.
