Timing shifts to 60 egg masses per 100 plants and corn 25 inches tall for first brood, with a second application 7 10 days later if needed. Second brood treated in late planted corn when 100 egg masses per 100 plants or more, with August timing. DDT remains primary, other options include Ryania and Parathion experimentally. certain chemicals are not recommended. Equipment guidance favors low to high pressure sprayers and dusters, with dilution to 2 to 6 gallons per acre depending on method.
