In Jim Wilsons absence editors Kathy Hompland Mary Egeland Jonine Riecke and Betty Hompland recount a playful week at Graettinger Times Ruthven area. They describe locating Jims farm watering dogs finding dog tags and managing a two paper week including delaying a grocery ad mailout and keeping the Open sign days late yet proud of the finished paper.
The Graettinger Women's Club will meet at Margaret Johnson's home on Monday March 4 at 8:00 pm Members should bring an antique or treasured item to display. Schneider noted grants favor small communities for water and sewer improvements and plans must align with areawide development. Additional information is available at the FHA office in Spencer.
The Greettinger American Legion and Auxiliary will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday March Sth at 8:00 in the Legion Hall. Ranch and rural areas gain new FHA support to develop community facilities such as industrial parks streets fire equipment ambulances community centers recreation and other social needs under the 1972 Rural Development Act.
