Graettinger Future Farmers of America marks its eighth year of progress during National FFA Week February 22 28 The local chapter organized November 6 1950 under advisor Dale Schnirring now led by Reg Satory With 46 members the group runs projects including county fair livestock and grain shows a tractor rodeo and judging contests at Spencer and the Northwest Iowa Grain Judging Contest It sponsors a multi state trip and operates test plots a money making farming project and a service point board The Junior FFA organized in 1951 supports freshmen members and has a treasury over sixty dollars with plans to purchase paraphernalia for the local YEA chapter and recreational use.
