Graettinger finished second in the Palo Alto County basketball tourney held at Emmetsburg High School gym, West Bend beating Graettinger 16 to 12 in the final. Graettinger defeated Emmetsburg 15 to 7 in the semifinals, while Ruthven and Mallard were among early round results. Petersen and Elsenbast earned all tournament honors for Graettinger, with Petersen at center and Elsenbast forward.

Harry McColloch will conduct an entire closing out sale at Graettinger sale yards on Saturday March 7. The listing includes 18 head of horses and mules, several wagons and Harness, two house wagons mounted on trucks. House wagons may become chicken houses or wash houses and trucks serve as hay wagons. German Soldiers Alive In Graettin ne Bue
German soldiers Teugene Steitz and Rudolph Mandel arrive February 2 to settle in the United States with Mr. and Mrs. Lippert. Steitz, a French prisoner for five years, aided by Algiers highway work and farm time in France, was released in 1920. Mandel served with Austrians on the Russian Serbian front. Both come from respected German families and are connected to local residents.
