Social Security Contact Schedule Announced for Fort Dodge District

The social security district office at Fort Dodge announced a contact schedule with times and dates at Emmetsburg courthouse and Estherville City Flats plus Spencer Senior Citizens Center. Meetings run 10:30 to 12:30 at Emmetsburg on January 6 and 20, February 3 and 17, March 3 17 and 31. Estherville on January 12 and 26, February 9 and 23, March 9 and 23. Spencer 8:30 to 12:30 at the Senior Citizens Center Shopping Center.

Farmers Mutual Announces $3 Million Insurance Increase

Farmers Mutual Insurance Association in Emmetsburg reports a $3 million rise in in force insurance for the year. President D. E. Cottington notes total coverage exceeds $64 million with over $500,000 in emergency reserve. Three directors re elected for three year terms. Officers re elected: Cottington president Hanson vice president Gommels secretary Thoreson treasurer. Marvel Guess named office assistant. The association's first office was built in 1963 after moving from a one room upstairs space.
