Ireland Island in the Bermudas hosts the world’s largest floating drydock. The immense structure dominates the harbor and represents a major maritime engineering milestone. Bermuda’s facility supports resupply and repair operations for regional navies and commercial fleets.
The motion by Kollasch and al Finn authorizes a 3 percent levy on the Tri Joint District No. 1 to cover cleaning and minor repairs of roads and rail rights of way, with Palo Alto and Kossuth counties to spread the drainage tax. The County Auditors are empowered to implement the levy. Ayes full, Nays none. The boards also delete the $200 repair limit, allowing each county to spend its share of any levy or cash on hand for repairs. The Tri Joint Boards adjourn to the call of the Auditors.

Fogarty moved to set the date for the Board of Approval as February 21, 1952 at 10 07 p m. Afotion carried. Joyce seconded Fogarty to approve the fourth quarter reports of George Godden Justice of the Peace Emmetsburg Township. Bargman seconded Fogarty to approve the Bond of T R Martin Co Engineer. Motion carried. Board adjourned to February 3 1952. County Auditor.
