The Scout law teachings extend beyond Boy Scouts into everyday actions. Trustworthy loyal helpful friendly and courteous brave and clean describe a Scout. Observing Boy Scout Week, we tribute the Scout law and strive to emulate its ideals in daily conduct.
Mr and Mrs Herb Cedar Falls braved the weather to fish at Lower Pine Lake recently. They enjoy a hobby of fishing and have caught fish this season, keeping up a steady pace as the season progresses.
The social security district office at Fort Dodge Emmetsburg courthouse released a contact schedule. In Estherville the hours are 10 34 to 12 30 on February 4 and 11 March 4 and 13. In Spencer at the Senior Citizens Center 3 30 to 12 30 on February 5 and 19 March 3 and 19.
Drivers license exams are offered on Mondays at Esmherville and Orange City, Tuesdays at Emmetsburg, Wednesdays at Spencer, Thursdays at Rock Rapids, and Fridays at Spirit Lake. Saturdays provide morning exams in Sibley and Swea City.

Tate led with 9 points Garner Baumgartner Gilbaugh Young and Myers contributed and other players included Anderson Holland Appel Prater. Also notes Osco married February 12 with Rev Bohne officiating and St Marys seconds beat Graettinger 31 to 15. Kenneth Henningsen now at Ft Benjamin Harrison after 34 months in the South Pacific.

Graettinger Community School Food Director Myrtle Shaffer releases the hot lunch menu for February 16 to 20. Items include chili and crackers, meat loaf, pigs in blankets, baked beans and franks, and fish sticks with sides plus milk.
