Weather remained cool with rain turning to snow and a developing storm threat. Emmetsburg crews filled the local ice house and grain market activity appeared with a Graettinger sale planned. high school basketball saw Graettinger girls fall to Rodman 19 to 12. January 1962 notes include Farm Bureau women meeting, heavy January snow, and local wedding announcements.
