A man entered the Merriman home in Redfield, bound and gagged Mrs. Lightfoot, and stole 86 dollars from a buffet drawer while Zona Gale, the Merrimans’ three year old daughter, watched. Mrs. Lightfoot, shocked but not seriously injured, recovered with aid after the attack around 3:30 PM. A search followed. two men boarding an outbound freight at Ashton matched little of the description. Lightsfoot described the attacker as rough, medium height, dark complexion, and potentially identifiable if seen again. This is the third robbery affecting Merriman within eight months.

Dr Baldwin of Ruthven, a well known Palo Alto county resident, died suddenly Saturday morning after failing to start his car for a trip. He faded after going inside to rest. Funeral was held Monday with many from Gra stinger towns attending. among mourners were Dr Th T Nane Dr P J Hossion Mrs J B Jengen and Mrs John oJart on.
Wayne Bryan, who suffered a broken arm last Friday evening, is recovering well and on track to return to school. The accident occurred two blocks from the school, not on school grounds, and only one bone was broken. Next, Graettinger visits Mallard for a doubleheader on December 10, following Ruthven’s 60 18 win at Mallard and Mallard girls’ 28 point victory.
