Thelms Troubles between Dr Bennett of Fenton and city telephone directors surface as the Fenton Reporter reveals the dispute. A recently purchased switchboard is at the center of the disagreement and prompts public attention in the paper.
The doctor criticized a company for not fixing an older board and later a company employee suffered a broken arm. the doctor billed 62 dollars, insurance refused payment, service stopped, and patients must send a messenger to contact him in cold weather.
The board awarded Ullervang Bros. the graveling of several rural roads starting immediately at 80c and 70c, with two small paving contracts let to C. J. Kramer at 2.58 per yard and two sand pits at 2.68 per yard. Also notes a 1925 calendar and a Paris business travel trend via airplanes reducing commute time to ten minutes.
