Vera May Christopher died Sunday at noon at home after returning from Rochester and Ames for health treatment. Born September 4, 1902, she taught in Bagley and Walla, Iowa, and later lived with family in Newton, Iowa. Funeral held Wednesday at home and M E Church, interment High Lake cemetery. mourners included parents Louis and Mrs Christopher and sisters Cora and Mrs Leon Neefstead, with many distant relatives and friends in attendance.

Lars C. Thompson of Graettinger and Miss Ellen Kinard of Estherville were married at the Lutheran Parsonage in Fenton on Thanksgiving Day. Rev. Sande performed the ceremony. The bride wore Nile Greer crepe, carried roses and carnations. groom wore navy blue. A wedding breakfast at the parsonage and dinner at the bride’s home followed.
