Diamond wedding noted for Barlay couple in Black Hawk County
Arriving at seventy years married, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Atkins of Bar lay township Black Hawk County celebrate a diamond anniversary. Married in Coventry England in 1830 the couple later moved via Newark New Jersey to Illinois and then to Black Hawk County in 1849. They raised five children and have lived a peaceful life, enjoying good health and strong companionship today.
