Labor Day Celebration Planned at Graettinger

Graettinger will hold its annual Labor Day celebration on Monday September 2 with a grand program. The meeting appointed committees including finance sports advertising and a marshal. Features include a moving picture My Own United States and the war film The Unbeliever. A ball game street sports and horse races are planned amid music and a patriotic address.

Lutheran League program to be presented Sunday night

The Lutheran League youth prepare a program for Sunday evening at 8 30 featuring a choral quartet and readings by Alexander V Aiton Lars Strand and Robert Schooley among others. Seven county reserve ladies join the choir replacing unavailable rosters as the audience attends the event.

New Prices Set for Palo Alto Grocery Goods

Prices set by the Palo Alto County Price Interpreting board cover flour oats corn meal sugar beans and other staples with small increases and some items listed at reduced figures. The note also covers Bond drives urging holders of First Second and Third Liberty bonds to replace traded securities during the Fourth Liberty Loan campaign. Prices for canned goods meats and produce are given with per pound and per can amounts and a sugar allowance of two pounds per person per month is advised.

Farm debts settled for Red Cross aid in Emmet county

Pay for Shocking Grain partners indebted to the Sunad Division for shocking grain and requested to settle with secretary Wm Knutson of the Farmers and Merchants bank. Secretary instructed to settle accounts and turn money over to the Red Cross. Don McCarty sells 160 acre Emmet county farm to Fred Masters for 200 per acre. Work in Red Cross rooms to pause until further notice.

Auction sale of real estate postponed to Sept seventh

Joe Swift has postponed his auction sale of real estate from Saturday August 31 to Saturday September 7. Auctioneer Grodland says to postpone until after Labor Day to suit the large town crowd. Bidders should inspect the property now through sale day. It is a well located, exceptionally nice ten acre tract.

D Wren Sale Saturday Auction Near Hirst Bank

D Wren will hold an auction near the Hirst National Bank this Saturday. Auctioneer Gradland will oversee the sale featuring a table, refrigerators, beds, and a two year old colt as he moves to a smaller place.
